Individuals are responsible for proper clothing. A PFD, sunscreen, hat, and sailing gloves are mandatory. Positive communication with the Skipper(s) is mandatory to ensure each crew member is ready for the transit.

Food, water, and other provisions for the transit are the responsibility of the Skipper/crew.
Cancellation Policy:
If you cancel after the cutoff date due to non-illness/injury your fee is forfeited. If you must cancel due to illness or injury contact the Skipper (POC) immediately so that he can reset crew assignments, if necessary.

If the event is cancelled due to weather all fees will be returned.

Harborfest is an epic Maritime Festival with Tall Ships from around the world, Naval Vessels, and a huge fleet of pleasure craft, both power and sail.  Street venders, craft and souvenir booths, live music, boatbuilding contest, fireworks, and much more.    Details at https://festevents.org/events/2023/norfolk-harborfest/

 

This Club Express event is to sail the yawls from West Basin departing Wednesday, arriving at Norfolk mid-day Thursday, AND RETURN departing Norfolk noon Sunday, arriving West Basin Monday afternoon / evening.  To ensure safe crew size for the return transit, one-way transits will be authorized only by prior arrangement with your Skipper.

 

The Parade of Sail (Friday) is a separate event.  To participate in the Parade of Sail you must ALSO register for that on the Event Calendar, June 9.

 

All crew will be expected to stand watch according to a pre-arranged rotating schedule. 

 

No prior cruising experience required, but probably not a good first trip for those who have not crewed on the yawls (or similar large boats) before. 

 

Two Guests allowed per participating member.  No children under 12. 

 

A crew information packet will be distributed with details of the trip, including recommendations on what to bring.   

 

Registration closes Sunday, June 4th.
