American Sailing Association (ASA) Basic Keelboat (ASA-101) class. No prior sailing experience required.
Objective: Be able to sail a boat of about 20 feet in length in light to moderate winds and sea conditions in familiar waters unsupervised.

Wednesday race series hosted by SMSA. Expect only one boat for series A due to Skipper availability.
Depart dock promptly at 5:30. Please come 10-15 min early to help prep the boat if you can.
This is a free sailing event.
If bringing guests, they must have participated in a previous race as crew.

NPSC Clubhouse. Meet there, get life jackets and safety briefing, and board in front of Club House
We‘ll kick off the Season with a fun excursion on the Patuxent River, lots of time for every passenger to drive the boat, we‘ll tack and jibe and get pleasantly tired and then head to Clark‘s Landing for snacks, dining, or refreshments. Always fun! Cost is $25 per person members and each guest, except active Military, ($0) Attendees will be billed on their NPSC account page. Two yawls are reserved, Club Ops Skippers needed. Return to West Basin by 8pm.
